Visited my father's mausoleum and was very disappointed. His name is not level on the front of the drawer. The veteran's plaque Greenlawn promised to attach is NOT there and (of course) the office has no record of ALL the paperwork we completed for the plaque.
I live in the State of Maryland and fly down once a year to visit my mother's grave. Usually my daughter and I go and we take pictures with us near the grave. Last year when I visited, there were ant piles all around Mom's grave. I cleaned it up best I could but then went in, filled out a form and was told it would be taken care of. I was told I would receive a call when it was done. I flew back to Maryland the next day. No call came. I called 3 times. No one ever had an answer and kept telling me they would call back. I never got a call. A family membrr visited my Mom's grave 2 months later. Still large ant piles. I called while she was there, still I got an apology and was told it would be handled. This year, 3 weeks ago, I visit my Mom's grave. Someone stole the granite flower holder. I could not leave flowers at my Moms grave. I went in the office, filled out a form, spoke with Jeanine who said they would inviestigate, I called 2 weeks later, Jeanine not available and the woman who answered the phone told me Jeanine would call back the Tuesday after Memorial Day. Today is June 3, I called and now went through 3 people to get to Craig who now tells me that they could sell me another vase for 1/2 price and cannot guarantee that 3 days after I buy it would still be there. I could be buying a vase every month! These people do not care and its all about making money. If there is theft in the cemetery, there should be cameras posted. Craig, the sales rep says that if they had to worry about security they would not be able to mow the grass. Then what does all that money pay for? I really tried to be patient and even tempered but it annoys me that I can't visit my mothers grave and leave flowers and no one in Greenlawn seems to be concerned. But what also bothers me is that no one ever returned any phone calls after promising they would. If I had the money, I would move my mother somewhere else! I will try to send this article to the Port Arthur News. Born and raised in Port Arthur, the one thing I remember after being in the Army and doing a lot of traveling is that the one place where people treated you right was my hometown, Port Arthur. I guess those days are over.
Rest in peace to Pimp C.
I feel like this cemetery just took the money and ran. Very disappointed. Would not recommend!!
Our baby boy's final resting place. The staff showed compassion and empathy. Very friendly and family oriented.
beyond disappointed with this place, besides being pushy to purchase from them, they have taken more than 2 months to approve from outside vendor, only showed compassion while they're receiving money, had it not for my wife's wishes, we would have gone elsewhere. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
